Wood Stabilizing

Wood Stabilizing is a process that will help strengthen soft punky woods and will also bring out the figure in the wood.  The process is done by extracting the air out of the wood in a vacuum chamber and allowing a stabilizing resin to be drawn back into the wood after the vacuum is released.  Colored dye can be added to the resin to dye the wood.  Single, double and triple dying wood can result in a very unique pattern within the wood.

Prices for stabilizing vary, the price is based on how much stabilizing resin is taken into the wood during the process.   $2 per ounce of resin taken in by the wood. Adding color is a flat $5 fee.
